Super Cat Up
About the game:
Platform: Mobile
Super Cat Up is a casual mobile game starring Carigato, an inventor cat whose goal is to conquer the skies with his balloon. The core is a tap-timing jump mechanic combined with gyroscope controls to move the character and avoid obstacles while going higher and higher.

Gameplay
Short, replayable runs where players tap at the right time to jump and tilt the device to steer the balloon. Progression systems like levels, missions, skins and upgrades extend the game’s lifespan beyond a simple hypercasual loop.
My role on the project
(Game Designer · Level Designer · UI/UX · Economy Design)
Game Design – Designed and documented the core tap-timing and gyroscope mechanics, rules and behaviors.
Economy Design – Created monetization systems (business model, in-game ads and in-app purchases) to support long-term revenue.
User Interface – Designed screen flows and high-fidelity mockups for menus, HUD, shop and workshop.
Challenges & Solutions
Challenge: Find the right genre and lifespan for the game
What I did: Helped reposition the project from a pure hypercasual game (short lifespan, heavy marketing dependence) to a casual mobile game with more depth and retention.
Challenge: Extend engagement and support monetization
What I did: Designed systems such as the Workshop (skins and upgrades), Shop (IAP for cosmetics and power-ups), world/level structure and mission packs to increase grind, progression and replayability.
Challenge: Design for mobile controls and accessibility
What I did: Balanced tap-timing and gyroscope sensitivity, adjusted feedback and UI so players could quickly understand how to jump, steer and track their progress on small screens.
*Game developed over 10 months of production for Game Jam + 2019/2020 and winner in the International Stage in the categories "Best Mobile Game" and "Best Pitch").
