About the game (Launched)
Platform: Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Orange and MS Store
Family Fun Night is a Party Game and it's the first game from the That's My Family license, which brings together the best board games from your childhood and some original ones!
Games collection includes: Awele , Chinese Checkers, Connect 4, Checkers, Backgammon, King of the Sieges, Ludo, Poker Dice, Reversi, Simon, Snakes and Ladders, The Goose, Nine Men's Morris and Chess.
It is possible to play in local multiplayer with up to 4 players or against the AI. Each game features a unique setting inspired by history, mythology and pop culture.
Take on the role of a member of your new family: grandfather, grandmother, mother, father, boy or girl. Each with their own themed look for each game!
My role on the project

I was primarily responsible for the Game Design sector, contributing to:

Game Design: Designed and documented rules and mechanics for the collection of classic and original games, keeping them family-friendly and consistent.

Level Design: Defined boards and arenas so movement, interactions and win conditions stayed clear for all ages.

User Interface: Created flows and mockups for menus, game selection and HUD, focusing on quick access and simple local multiplayer.

Balancing: Tuned AI, pacing and scoring to keep matches fun and fair for both casual and competitive players.

User Experience: Ran usability tests and adjusted wording, layout and feedback to improve readability and accessibility.

Narrative Design: Wrote short character notes to guide animations and reactions, giving each family member a clear personality.

Achievements: Structured the achievement list to encourage exploring different games and modes.

Challenges and Solutions
Challenge: Working with a large multidisciplinary team (~30 people)
What I did: Kept clear documentation with frequent updates, maintained constant communication and enforced scope control so everyone stayed aligned on the same vision.
Challenge: Differentiating a collection of classic games from competitors
What I did: Helped define features like the Pass & Play system (multiple players sharing one joystick) and expressive character reactions to give the collection a unique, family-focused identity.
Challenge: Adapting traditional rules and cultural variations for a broad audience
What I did: Simplified complex rules to reduce learning time, clarified win conditions, and selected rule sets that best fit the game’s proposal and what felt most fun for the target audience.
